Blue Ridge Parkway
Many of these paintings are done “en plein-air”, meaning painted outdoors in front of the scenes themselves. This style of painting presents the challenge of trying to capture the ever changing light and face the difficulties of being exposed to the elements. As a result, I am able to capture details that wouldn’t be visible if painting from a reference photo. My goal is to bring the viewer one step closer to the fresh air, warm sunshine, and serenity that comes with the mountainous landscape.
Originals (when available) and prints of these paintings can be purchased in my shop.
