The Allegheny Trail of West Virginia
This series was completed on my Allegheny Trail Thru Hiking Artist Residency, completed in June and July of 2024. This residency was sponsored by the West Virginia Scenic Trails Association. The goal of this project was to create ten large scale (16”x20”) plein air paintings while hiking to illustrate the thru hiking experience and showcase the beauty that the Allegheny Trail has to offer. These paintings will be on display at the ALT 50th Anniversary Celebration on September 6-8, 2024 in Greenbank, West Virginia, and then will be on loan to WVSTA for a year, being displayed at a variety of locations through out West Virginia to help community members learn more about the trail. All originals will be available for purchase through my website (link to come soon) and 10% of proceeds will be donated to WVSTA. All reproductions will be available to purchase on WVSTA’s website (link to come soon), and 100% of proceeds will benefit the organization and the trail.
